The Shotwell Branch Library welcomes bilingual storyteller Consuelo Samarripa to be part of our Diez y Seis de Septiembre Celebration at 5 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 16.
Consuelo has performed in the United States and Mexico. She is a second generation Texas native born in the West side barrios of San Antonio, Texas. Her primary language is Spanish, but quickly learned English, when she started her education in the Texas. She exercises her bilingual blends of German, French, and Latin phrases in her multicultural tales.
Elsewhere in the Shotwell Life Center, enjoy bounce houses, food, and crafts.
