Author Mary Brooke Casad visits the Tony Shotwell Branch  Library to meet and entertain young readers. Mary writes about the travels and adventures of Bluebonnet the armadillo. Bluebonnet was born in the Texas Hill Country, the daughter of Mommadillo and Daddidillo. Her blue sunbonnet shields her eyes from the bright Texas sun. So, she is named for the Texas state flower, the bluebonnet, as well as her trademark blue sunbonnet. Her name in Spanish is "Bonte Azul." Bluebonnet is a curious Texas armadillo, always eager to see new sights and make new friends!

The Tony Shotwell Branch Library is located inside the Tony Shotwell Life Center at 2750 Graham St.
