GRAND PRAIRIE, TEXAS - The seventh annual Lunar New Year Festival, the Vietnamese and Chinese New Year celebration, will once again be held at Asia Times Square in January 2014 in the City of Grand Prairie, Texas.

This year’s festivities, which include dragon and lion dances, firecrackers, traditional games, exhibit booths, and many mouth-watering food vendors, promise an enjoyable and entertaining experience for the whole family. As with the previous years, there will also be a comprehensive entertainment program that will include a concert with popular Vietnamese pop stars, martial art performances, and traditional folk dances.
In additional, this year’s festival grounds will also include the newly constructed Phase II of Asia Times Square, which essentially almost doubled the area for food, games, exhibit, and sponsorship vendors.

Asia Times Square is the organizer of the “Dem Cho Hoa - Lunar New Years Festival”, the first night time flower market of its kind in the United States. Over the years, the festival has evolved into a weekend-long celebration of Lunar New Year traditions. The inaugural Lunar New Year Festival of 2007 has provided the DFW Asian community with an event for the whole family to immerse in the cultural festivities that have once been the essence of the past Lunar New Years, and offered the growing businesses of DFW a venue to connect with new clienteles. Following the tradition of the subsequent years, this year’s décor, activities and festivities will continue to allow the attendees to relive an experience of the nostalgic New Years of the past, and surround themselves in the environment that is quintessential Lunar New Years.
Asia Times Square, opened in the fall of 2007, is a premiere shopping, entertainment, dining, and cultural destination in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Our mission is to provide a diverse shopping and retail experience, promote a multitude of professional offices and businesses, and develop a thorough understanding and sharing of culture.
