Posted Date: 2/12/2013

The Betty Warmack Library, 760 Bardin Road, presents Texas Sweethearts & Scoundrels: Writing for Kids from the Heart of Texas at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, 2013.

Meet four great Texas authors: P.J. Hoover, Jessica Lee Anderson, K.A. Holt, and Jeanette Larson as we celebrate kid lit - deep in the heart of Texas.

Four authors join in a panel discussion on books, writing, blogs, teen readers and more. Their books will be available for sale afterwards. This program is for all ages, but of special interest to tween and teen readers.

  • P.J. Hoover, former electrical engineer, writes middle-grades and young adult fantasy and science fiction.
  • Jessica Lee Anderson, an instructor at the Institute of Children's Literature, writes short fiction, long fiction and non-fiction.
  • K.A. Holt wrote the world's only middle grade zombie novel in haiku.
  • Jeanette Larson is a former librarian who expanded her writing to works for kids.
