Computers and keyboards are replacing hardbound books for a new Summer E-reading Program in Grand Prairie. The program involves children enrolled in summer camp at the city's three recreation centers. During camp, youngsters head to a computer lab where the e-reading program helps students keep reading skills sharp during the summer. Combining reading lessons and summer camps is an example of the successful partnership between the city and the school district.
