Notice of Tax Revenue Increase

The City of Grand Prairie conducted public hearings on Aug. 20, 2013, and Sept. 3, 2013, on a proposal to increase the total tax revenues of the City of Grand Prairie from properties on the tax roll in the preceding year by 2.31 percent.

The total tax revenue raised last year at last year’s rate of $0.669998 for each $100 of taxable value was $60,142,726.

The total tax revenue proposed to be raised this year at the proposed tax rate of $0.669998 for each $100 of taxable value, excluding tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year, is $59,471,616.

The total tax revenue proposed to be raised this year at the proposed tax rate of $0.669998 for each $100 of taxable value, including tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year, is $60,887,607.

The City of Grand Prairie is scheduled to vote on the tax rate that will result in that tax increase at a public meeting to be held on Sept. 17, 2013, at City Council chambers, 317 College St., Grand Prairie, TX at 6:30 p.m.
