GRAND PRAIRIE— Celebrate Father’s Day by adopting a fur-baby! Prairie Paws Adoption Center, 2222 W. Warrior Trail, has numerous fatherless pets that are looking for a family to love. During its “Who’s Your Daddy” adoption special from June 12-14, Prairie Paws will further lower its adoption fees to only $20 for urgent pooches – dogs that have been at the shelter for an extended period of time. Cats aged 1-year-old and older will be FREE.
Prairie Paws is also celebrating North Shore Animal League of America’s Pet Adoptathon Month. Throughout the month of June all non-urgent dogs are $35, kittens are only $5, and cats aged 1-year-old and older are free. Regular price adoptions are $70.
The adoption fee includes a $50 spay or neuter voucher for pets that are not yet sterilized. All animals will be micro-chipped and will receive 5-in-1 and kennel cough vaccinations for dogs and the 3-in-1 FVRCP vaccination for cats. All adult dogs will be heartworm tested. Those wishing to adopt must complete an application and be approved before receiving their pets, and they must provide proof of rabies vaccine and spay or neuter within 30 days of the adoption. Up to two pets per household may be adopted. This offer is valid only for new adoptions.
