Electrifying Authors Appear at Main Library
Hot New Authors for Teens
Posted Date: 7/22/2014

e.E. Charlton-TrujilloThe Grand Prairie Main Library hosts 4 exciting authors for teens as part of its free summer programming. Electrifying Authors is a free program at the Main Library at 2 pm on Saturday, July 26.

Unfortunately, scheduled guest  e.E. Charlton-Trujillo has had to cancel, due to a family emergency. We hope to schedule a future event with her.

Authors appearing include Mary Gray, Lindsay Cummings, and Krissi Dallas.

Mary Gray has a fascination with all things creepy. That’s why all her favorite stories usually involve panic attacks and hyperventilating. In real life, she prefers to type away on her computer, ogle over her favorite TV shows, and savor fiction. The Dollhouse Asylum is her first novel.
Lindsay Cummings is a 22 year old author of young adult and middle grade books for HarperCollins. She lives in Dallas with her husband Josh, her hedgehog named Hedwig, her two German Shepherds Hurley and Kai, her wolf cub Kimber, and a draft horse named Dan the Man. Lindsay deals with Chronic Fatigue issues, believes Jesus is the reason for all of her success, and swears that book hoarding is not a problem at all. She’s still waiting on her letter from Hogwarts–it was probably just lost in the mail. She is the author of The Murder Complex, and The Fear Trials.
Krissi Dallas feels more like a teenager now than when she actually was a teen. She lives in D/FW with her husband, Sam and her two wicked Yorkies. She discovered a love of teaching that has lead to her involvement in language arts, student council, National Junior Honor Society, student ministries, and making cheesy music videos. She is the author of three novels in the Phantom Island series.

This program is part of Spark a Reaction:Teen Summer Reading Challenge. Teens who have signed up have until July 28 to turn in their reading logs. Logs become entries into a   Grand Prize Drawing for a Kindle Fire.
