Grand Prairie Police Department - Santa Cop | Grand Prairie Fire Department - Santa Spot

Volunteers loading giftsThe Grand Prairie Santa Cop and Santa Spot programs collect unwrapped toys and non-perishable foods for Grand Prairie families in need during the holiday season. In 2012, Santa Cop and Santa Spot served 443 families and three Hispanic church youth programs in Grand Prairie, which included a total of 1,402 children. This was one of the largest donation years in the program's 28-year history.

Volunteers helped with stocking toys, packing toy and food boxes, cleaning and organizing, labeling delivery boxes, and distributing those boxes on delivery night. More than 1,000 volunteer hours were donated over the 2012 holiday season (approximately 15 days). A big thanks goes out to all of our wonderful volunteers!

Once the 2013 holiday season hits, we will once again be asking for donations at the following locations:

  • Grand Prairie Fire Stations
  • Public Safety Building, 1525 Arkansas Lane
  • City Hall, 317 College St.
  • Main Library, 901 Conover Dr.
