Get Fit GP 5K and Chase the Chiefs 1-Mile Fun Run

Join the Get Fit Grand Prairie wellness initiative for a spring kickoff event featuring the first ever Get Fit GP 5K Run/Walk and “Chase the Chiefs” 1-Mile Fun Run on Saturday, March 29 – opening day at Farmers Market in downtown Grand Prairie.
One of the highlights will be the “Chase the Chiefs” 1-Mile Fun Run, where the participants can chase Police Chief Steve Dye and Fire Chief Robert Fite as a warm-up for the 5K.
Proceeds will go toward youth fitness programs in Grand Prairie.
Please join our partners after the run for post-race refreshments, health screenings and other healthy information. Also, stroll through Grand Prairie Farmers Market and pick up fresh vegetables and check out our vendors.
- $15/person before March 22, 2014.
- $10/person for teams of 10 or more before March 22, 2014.
- $20/person March 24 thru race day.

The School Challenge is a great way to support your school and community while getting some exercise and having fun. The School Challenge will be based on the number of participants on each team. Teams may consist of students, parents, friends and teachers. The top three schools receive:
- 1st Place $500
- 2nd Place $250
- 3rd Place $125
Corporate Wellness Challenge
This Corporate Wellness Challenge is a great way for you to support your business and community while having fun. Teams may consist of co-workers, families and friends. The top three corporate teams with the most number of participants will receive team plaques.
