Chuck PyleGRAND PRAIRIE—Zen Cowboy Chuck Pyle will illuminate the Uptown Theater Ultra Lounge with his Southwestern acoustic rock on Thursday, Oct. 4. Music lovers will be dazzled by his charismatic voice and pumping guitar style and Gordon Burt’s power violin. Doors will open at 7 p.m. and the performance will begin at 8 p.m. Cover charge is $5 per person.

An accomplished songwriter, Pyle’s songs have been recorded by John Denver, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and Suzy Bogguss. Country fans know him best for writing “Cadillac Cowboy,” recorded by the late Chris LeDoux and “Jaded Lover,” recorded by Jerry Jeff Walker.

A nimble guitarist, critics say Pyle’s sense of rhythm is more like a fine classical or jazz soloist. His latest CD, The Spaces In Between, is 12 all new songs featuring his finger-style guitar embellished by fiddle, uilleann pipes, piano and ukulele.

The Uptown Theater is located at 120 E. Main St. For more information, visit, or call 972-237-8786.
