Grand Prairie Police Chief Steve Dye joined a group of nearly 100 other volunteers to rappel down a 15-story building on Saturday, Nov. 10, in support of Special Olympics Texas. The Grand Prairie community gave $3,000 in donations to send Chief Dye "Over the Edge."
The Over the Edge event is sponsored by Special Olympics Texas and conducted statewide to raise awareness and money to support more than 44,000 Special Olympics Texas athletes. Dallas-areas participants raised more than $80,000.
