A major traffic switch at Great Southwest and Lake Ridge Parkway is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 10, as construction continues to complete the connection of Lake Ridge Parkway from Great Southwest Parkway to I-20.
Traffic changes include:
Starting Thursday, Oct. 10, Southbound on Great Southwest Parkway will be detoured over to the northbound side, south of Fairmont and back over to the southbound side just north of Lake Ridge Parkway at High Hawk / Great Southwest Parkway for construction to continue on the remaining part of the connection from Great Southwest Parkway to Lake Ridge Parkway.
Northbound on Lake Ridge will be opened up to three lanes from Palmer / Kingswood to Great Southwest / High Hawk.
The northbound left turn from Lake Ridge to Great Southwest will be reduced to a single turn lane.
On Friday, Oct. 11, there will be one continuous lane in both directions open to traffic on Lake Ridge to Bardin from Great Southwest Parkway. At that time Matthew will be closed with NO ACCESS to or from Lake Ridge from Bardin on Matthew (the north side of Lake Ridge). Traffic will have to continue to Lake Ridge on Bardin, go south on Lake Ridge to Matthew where there will be access to continue south on Matthew. Northbound traffic on Matthew will have to travel either south on Lake Ridge to Great Southwest or north on Lake Ridge to Bardin to get access to Matthew on the north side of Lake Ridge.
