Fire Department Raises Funds for Cancer Research

       GRAND PRAIRIE – The Grand Prairie Fire Department will wear pink from Oct. 18-26, to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and will sell GPFD shirts for $12 to raise funds for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

       The Grand Prairie Fire Fighters’ Association has raised more than $7,500 in the four years they sold shirts for this cause. Shirts are available in pink, navy and grey, in sizes small to triple extra large. They are available for purchase at the following locations:

    City Hall, 317 College St.; Marketing Department
    Fire Station #1, 321 W. Main Street
    Fire Station #3, 1702 Robinson Road
    Fire Station #4, 1602 Duncan Perry Road
    Fire Station #5, 3202 Great Southwest Parkway
    Fire Station #7, 5610 Lake Ridge Parkway
    Fire Station #9, 315 E. Polo 
    Public Safety Building, 1525 Arkansas Lane
       Cash or checks are acceptable forms of payment. Please make checks payable to Grand Prairie Fire Fighters’ Association.
