Tech Cafe Serves Up Coffee and Answers
Posted Date: 2/28/2014

Do you have questions about your eReaders, iGadgets and your electronic whatchamacallits? The Grand Prairie Libraries will offer a Tech Café once a month to help patrons access digital content such as ebooks, emagazines, and eaudiobooks. Drop by the Tech Café at any of the Grand Prairie Library locations for answers and assistance on the first Wednesday every month, from 10 a.m. to noon. Tech Café sessions will run through June 2014.

Bring your own wireless device (ereader, tablet, laptop or phone) to your nearest Grand Prairie Library and learn how to access our newest apps and electronic services. Enjoy coffee and cookies while library staff answer your questions.

Can't wait until the first Wednesday of the month to see what the libraries have to offer? Get a head start by clicking on Everything Electronic! You will need your library card number and PIN (the last 4 digits of your phone number). Access ebooks, digital magazines and a variety of helpful databases and online services.

Tech Café will take place at each of the Grand Prairie Library locations:

  • Grand Prairie Main Library - 901 Conover Drive, 972-237-5700
  • Betty Warmack Branch Library - 760 Bardin Road, 972-237-5772
  • Tony Shotwell Branch Library - 2750 Graham Street, 972-237-7540

For more information, call 972-237-5700 or visit gptx.org/library.
