Author Mary Brooke Casad will visit two Grand Prairie Libraries to entertain young readers and speak about her books on Monday, Feb. 10, 2014.
Casad writes about the travels and adventures of Bluebonnet the armadillo. Bluebonnet was born in the Texas Hill Country, the daughter of Mommadillo and Daddidillo. Her blue sunbonnet shields her eyes from the bright Texas sun. So, she is named for the Texas state flower, the bluebonnet, as well as her trademark blue sunbonnet. Her name in Spanish is "Bonte Azul." Bluebonnet is always eager to see new sights and make new friends!
Mary will appear at the Shotwell Branch Library at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 10. The Tony Shotwell Branch Library is located inside the Tony Shotwell Life Center at 2750 Graham St.
She will visit the Main Library at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 10. The Main Library is located at 901 Conover Dr.
