GRAND PRAIRIE’S UPTOWN THEATER TO FEATURE
THE CAB CALLOWAY STORY


GRAND PRAIRIE – Grand Prairie’s Uptown Theater, 120 E. Main, is jazzing things up with Texas Family Musicals’ Cab Calloway Story. Performance times are:
7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15
2:30 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16
2:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 17

Cab Callaway, best known for his performances at the Cotton Club of Harlem, was a jazz and blues singer, bandleader and Broadway star. Although Calloway suffered a fatherless childhood, his passion for show business led him to write many hit songs such as Reffer Man, Ain’t Misbehavin’, Minnie the Moocher and How Big Can You Get.


Texas Family Musicals (TFM) is a non-profit organization with the mission of producing quality family-friendly Broadway-style musicals while helping launch careers of young professionals in musical theater.
