Freetown Road Construction

Freetown Road Construction MapRoadway, water and drainage infrastructure improvements are on the way for Freetown Road from Robinson Road to Carrier Parkway.  Freetown Road will be closed to through traffic during construction.  This project will include installation of a 30-inch water trunk supply main along Robinson Road from Arkansas Lane to Marshall Drive. Construction is scheduled to begin in late March 2012 and complete in approximately one year. The following is an overview of the improvements:

• 1,400 linear feet of paving improvements will be made on Freetown Road

• Drainage, water and traffic signals will be improved along Freetown Road

• Intersection improvements will be made at Robinson Road and Carrier Parkway

• 1,300 linear feet of 12-inch water line will be replaced on Carrier Parkway

• 1,390 linear feet of 20-inch water line will be installed on Freetown Road between    Robinson Road and Carrier Parkway

• 8,100 linear feet of 30-inch trunk water line will be installed along Robinson Road from Arkansas Lane to extend to the existing water tower north of Marshall Drive

• 3,670 linear feet of storm drain improvements will be made to include an extension from Freetown Road to north of Huntington Drive along the west side of Carrier Parkway

• Traffic signals will be reconstructed at the intersection of Freetown Road and Carrier Parkway

• Storm drain outfall improvements will be made at Warrior Creek allowing for better drainage in the area

• Additional storm drain inlets will be added along State Highway 303 to prevent drainage water from collecting on the roadway
