Vendor Registration Information

The City of Grand Prairie welcomes the opportunity to do business with interested vendors in the community. The city's Purchasing Office is interested in fostering participation by all qualified business persons offering commodities and services that may be used by the city. The Purchasing Office has the responsibility to make the most economical acquisition of quality materials and services that will assure efficient operation of city government.

The City of Grand Prairie has contracted with BidSync for the maintenance of an automated vendor list. This list categorizes each vendor by commodity codes for the specific goods or services offered by the vendor. Businesses who have subscribed to the vendor list are notified by fax or email whenever a formal sealed bid has been issued for the commodity or service offered by the vendor. To have your firm placed on the vendor list, contact BidSync for details. The application asks for general information about your firm and lists the commodities and services the firm wishes to sell to the city.

Registration for BidSync is free for notification of bids, addendums, and other information. If you want the capability to download the bid documents and bid on line, BidSync will charge a $60 annual registration fee for the City of Grand Prairie. This is not a fee charge by the city, nor does the city receive any part of this fee. If your company registers under the complimentary registration and opts out of the additional paid services from Bidsync, you may email a request to the responsible buyer for a copy of the bid documents and submit a hard copy bid directly to the Purchasing office.

Participation in the BidSync system is not a necessary requirement for doing business with the City of Grand Prairie. If you choose not to register with BidSync you will not receive automatic notification of bid opportunities. You will still be able to get bid information by coming to the Purchasing Office located at 326 W. Main Street, or by contacting the responsible buyer. Bid announcements are also posted on the bid board outside the Purchasing Office.
