Via Grand Prairie is the City of Grand Prairie's on-demand, shared transportation service.

Think of it as a minibus that comes when you want, where you want – give us your pickup and drop-off address and we’ll provide a few ride options. 

Choose the option that works best for you, and we’ll send a driver your way. 

The City of Grand Prairie launched Via Grand Prairie on April 12, 2022.

How to Ride with VIA Grand Prairie

Follow these steps to get on board in no time.

Step 1.Create an Account.

Download the Via Grand Prairie app from the App Store or Google Play Store and follow the signup steps. 

Step 2.Book a Ride.

Enter your pickup and drop-off addresses. If you’re ready to go right away, tap Book This Ride. You can also book rides by calling 214-253-0874.

Step 3.Meet your Driver.

We’ll assign a pickup spot nearby that helps us avoid detours. Check the app to find out exactly where it is. It may be a short walk from the address you gave us.  Meet your driver. If you are in a group using Via Grand Prairie, the driver will wait 3-5 minutes at the designated spot in case you are running late.

Pro Tips for your First Ride

  • The easiest way to set your pickup and drop-off points is to slide the map and use the pins.
  • We'll assign you a "virtual bus stop" where you'll meet the vehicle, usually at a nearby corner. Check the app for directions!
  • We'll give you an ETA for your driver — you can follow along in real time in the app so you know when to meet the vehicle outside.
