Water Bill Payment Options

Current water customers have the following options for paying their bill. If you need to start water service as a new customer, please submit a Residential Water Service application.

Online / Phone

Pay Online

Register an online account to pay your bill, view current and past statements and go paperless. One-time payments can be made without registering an account. All you need is your account number from your paper bill.

You may pay your bill by phone using our automated telephone system at: 972-237-4545.

Water Billing FAQs

How do I reset my password?

  1. From the main screen in your water account customer portal, type in your email address and click "forgot your password."

  2. You email address will automatically appear in the field on the next screen. Click "Continue."

If you receive a “cannot reset password online” error message, you must call Water Billing Customer Service at 972-237-8200 for assistance. This usually occurs because you have not completed the security questions in your profile.

How do I apply for a leak adjustment for my water bill?

Before you can be considered for a leak adjustment, the leak must be repaired. You must register for H2Know Digital Water Meter and activate leak alerts.

Use the Request Leak Adjustment online form to submit request.

 

How do I set up auto pay?

  1. Log in to your water account customer portal(If your water account is not registered for online billing yet, register your account online.)
  2. From the main menu, select "AutoPay."

  3. On the next screen, select "Add Schedule."

  4. Select the account you wish to place on AutoPay and click "Continue."

  5. Select a saved payment method or add a new payment method and then click "Continue."

  6. On the following screen, the draft frequency is already pre-selected. Check the authorization boxes towards the bottom of the screen consenting to the AutoPay. Next, click "Create AutoPay."

  7. You’ll receive a confirmation on the next screen of the AutoPay being established. Click "Back to AutoPay" to see that it has been set up.

You can also click "AutoPay" from the Accounts screen and follow the steps above beginning with step #4.

How do I change my method for AutoPay?

  1. Log into your water account customer portal and click "AutoPay."

  2. Click “Edit” next to Payment Details.

  3. Select your desired payment method from the list of saved payments or click the plus sign to add a different method.
    Check the box to authorize and then click "Confirm."

What do I do if I have trouble logging into my account?

If you are having trouble logging in to your account, please contact our office during normal business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday and speak with a Water Customer Care Representative for assistance.

You may also email us at waterbilling@gptx.org for help. Please allow up to 24 hours for us to respond to your email. Emailing on the weekend will result in a response time past 24 hours.

What if the “pay online” link is not working or the payment system can’t process my payment?

If the system is down, please contact Water Billing Customer Service by phone at 972-237-8200 during regular business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, or email waterbilling@gptx.org for help completing payment.

Please allow up to 24 hours for us to respond to your email. Emailing on the weekend will result in a response time past 24 hours.

How do I view my water bill?

  1. Log in to your water account customer portal(If your water service account is not registered for online billing yet, register your account online.)
  2. From the main menu, select "Bill History."

How do I sign up for paperless billing?

  1. After logging into your water account customer portal, select "Accounts." (If your water service account is not registered for online billing yet, register your account online.)

  2. Under “Paperless,” click the button to move the bar to “Yes.”
  3. Confirm you wish to enable paperless billing on the next screen.

  4. The next screen will show a screen leaf to confirm you have successfully signed up for paperless billing.

How do I check my water usage?

You can sign up for H2Know Digital Water Meter to check your actual water use online 24/7.

How do I view my water bill payment history?

  1. Log in to your water account customer portal(If your water service account is not registered for online billing yet, register your account online.)
  2. From the main menu, select “Payment History.”

  3. Then click “View” for the bill you wish to view.

Can I set up an Electronic Funds Transfer for paying my bill?

We do not offer Electronic Funds Transfers. Accepted online payment methods include: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, echeck, PayPal, Venmo and Amazon Pay. Cash payments can be made in person.

How do I download and print a copy of my water bill?

  1. Log in to your water account customer portal(If your water service account is not registered for online billing yet, register your account online.)
  2. From the main menu, select "Bill History."

  3. On the next screen, click "View Bill."

  4. A PDF version of the bill will appear, allowing you to download or print.

How do I find my account number?

Your account number is listed near the top of the water bill under "Customer Name."

If you don't have a paper copy of your bill, you can view your water bill online.
