Amy Sprinkles Receives Communicator of Distinction Award

Amy Sprinkles, Communications and Marketing Director for the City of Grand Prairie, received the Cheryl A. Soward Communicator of Distinction Award from the Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers (TAMIO) on June 8, 2023. Sprinkles received the award for her outstanding work developing the City of Grand Prairie’s Communications Office, media relations and the first city newsletters, city website, city cable television channel, advertising campaigns, and numerous special events. Serving 31 years with the City of Grand Prairie, she has also been the director of the city’s Tourism Division and Library system.
Designed to honor the best and the brightest in the field of government communications, the Cheryl A. Soward Communicator of Distinction Award recipient is selected by the TAMIO Board. The Board chooses an individual who is a government communication professional, public information officer, and/or administrator who has excelled in the communication field.
