Cooling Centers Available

Due to the extreme heat, several cooling centers are available in Grand Prairie to ensure everyone stays safe and cool.

Here are the locations where you can find relief from the heat:

Public Safety Building Lobby: Open daily from 7 AM to 7 PM
City Hall Lobby: Open weekdays from 8 AM to 5 PM, closed on weekends
Main & Betty Warmack Library:
- Monday to Thursday: 10 AM to 8 PM
- Friday: 10 AM to 6 PM
- Saturday: 11 AM to 5 PM
- Closed on Sundays
Shotwell Library:
- Monday to Thursday: 8 AM to 7 PM
- Friday: 8 AM to 6 PM
- Closed on Saturday & Sunday
