Grand Prairie Cinco de Mayo Festivities

Grand Prairie residents, visitors, and all Cinco de Mayo revelers are invited to join celebrations of culture, heritage and unity happening May 4-5 across the city.  

On Saturday, May 4, the annual Grand Prairie Cinco de Mayo Parade will take place in downtown Grand Prairie. Organized by the Grand Prairie Hispanic Association for Culture and Education (HACE) in collaboration with Grand Prairie ISD, the City of Grand Prairie, and other community businesses and organizations, the free celebration features a lively, colorful parade, a youth art contest, and all-day celebration with food, booths, and live entertainment. 

The parade will begin at 10 a.m. near Travis World Language Academy (525 NE 15th St.) and conclude near Grand Prairie City Hall (300 W. Main St). Free parking is available in any City of Grand Prairie facility parking lot. 

On Sunday, May 5, Traders Village (2602 Mayfield Road) will host the popular open air market’s annual Cinco de Mayo Celebration from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. The free event will feature traditional cuisine, family fun, and live music in an array of genres, performed by popular local artists.
