Due to the extreme heat, the City of Grand Prairie has set up cooling centers at various locations.

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and the City of Grand Prairie are proposing to construct a high-speed, multi-lane roundabout at the existing at-grade intersection of East Main Street and East Jefferson Street in Dallas County, Texas.
The project would also include reconstructing Service Road North and South into cul-de-sacs and constructing a 10-foot-wide sidewalk along East Main Street and East Jefferson Street.
The public is invited to submit written comments or request a public hearing on the proposed project, which involves construction in wetlands and an action in a floodplain. Written comments and hearing requests must be submitted by May 19, 2023, and responses to comments will be available online. Environmental documentation and project materials are available for inspection at the City of Grand Prairie or online.
Special arrangements can be made for individuals with disabilities or language barriers.
Any interested person may submit a written request for a public hearing on this project. Written comments from the public regarding the proposed project are also requested.
