The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) invites the public to attend an important meeting regarding the I-30 Reevaluation Project, focused on enhancing approximately five miles of Interstate 30 from Cooper Street in Arlington to SH 161 in Grand Prairie.

The project aims to expand the roadway to eight general-purpose lanes in each direction, introduce two or three managed lanes, implement two-lane frontage roads in each direction from Six Flags Drive to SH 161, and ensure continuous accommodations for pedestrians and cyclists throughout the designated area.

Because the project may impact existing structures and right-of-way needs within Grand Prairie, TxDOT seeks input from city residents to inform further project development.

A public meeting is scheduled for July 24, 2024, at the Council Briefing Room in Grand Prairie City Hall at 300 W. Main St. from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. This meeting offers an opportunity for residents and interested parties to learn more about the project, ask questions, and provide comments.
