Photographer Don Smarto has circled the globe and will bring us photos accompanied by interesting stories of culture, history, and customs from around the world.
Former Library Board Chair Don Smarto has exhibited his work from Texas to Germany to Spain. The author of 14 books (4 of photography), he recently received his third International Photography Award. Currently a guest lecturer at Dallas Baptist University, he has been a Master Judge for both the Dallas and Fort Worth photography clubs.
“My goal in taking a photograph is to invite questions. Too many people glance rather than look. What is the subject thinking? Why is there sadness in their eyes? What is their self-image? How are they like me?”
